This thesis was prepared within the framework of the Postgraduate Program «Energy Law, Business, Regulation and Policy» of the International Hellenic University. The topic of the thesis, «Renewable Energy Sources: The Role of International Law in the Promotion of Renewable Energy Sources and the Legal and Regulatory Challenges of the Integration of Renewable Energy Sources into the Grid», highlights the importance of legal and policy frameworks for sustainable development and energy transition. The choice of this specific topic arose from my personal involvement with environmental policy and energy issues, as well as from the recognition of the need for more effective regulations in the renewable energy sector. This work aims to contribute to the literature by providing an analysis of the international legal frameworks and proposals for addressing the challenges related to the integration of RES. (EN)
