      "@value" : "Από τους σημαντικότερους στόχους της Μονάδας Ολικής Ποιότητας Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών (ΜΟΠΑΒ) είναι η συλλογή και επεξεργασία στατιστικών στοιχείων που αφορούν σε όλα τα χαρακτηριστικά των Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών, η παρουσίαση των στοιχείων αυτών με τρόπο όσο το δυνατό πιο κατανοητό και η σύνταξη και καθιέρωση Δεικτών Αποτίμησης και Αξιολόγησης των Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών, οι οποίοι να παρουσιάζουν την πορεία κάθε Βιβλιοθήκης σε ετήσια βάση. Η συλλογή των στατιστικών αυτών στοιχείων έως τώρα γινόταν με την αποστολή δύο ετησίων ερωτηματολογίων: του ερωτηματολογίου Συλλογής Στατιστικών Στοιχείων Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών και του ερωτηματολογίου Ηλεκτρονικών Πηγών και Χρήσης Ηλεκτρονικών Υπηρεσιών Πληροφόρησης Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών.\nΚατανοώντας όμως την αναγκαιότητα καθορισμού μιας συγκεκριμένης διαδικασίας συλλογής στοιχείων που να εξασφαλίζει τη μείωση του χρόνου αποστολής των ερωτηματολογίων αλλά και του χρόνου επεξεργασίας των στατιστικών δεδομένων που λαμβάνονται, κρίθηκε σκόπιμη η αυτοματοποίηση της παραπάνω διαδικασίας αξιοποιώντας τις δυνατότητες επικοινωνίας του Διαδικτύου. Ακολουθώντας το παράδειγμα αντίστοιχων ευρωπαϊκών στατιστικών προγραμμάτων, όπως είναι του LIBECON2000, η ΜΟΠΑΒ προέβη στη δημιουργία μιας παρόμοιας Βάσης Στατιστικών Δεδομένων για την καταχώρηση των στοιχείων που σχετίζονται με τις δραστηριότητες των Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών. Η πρόσβαση κάθε Ακαδημαϊκής Βιβλιοθήκης στη βάση δεδομένων γίνεται μέσω της ιστοσελίδας της ΜΟΠΑΒ (http://www.mopab.gr).\nΗ καθιέρωση της συγκεκριμένης διαδικασίας μεταβάλλει τον τρόπο λειτουργίας της ΜΟΠΑΒ, εφ΄ όσον αλλάζει ριζικά τον τρόπο συλλογής και παρουσίασης των στατιστικών στοιχείων. Επιπλέον παρέχονται οι δυνατότητες για interactive υπηρεσίες και εποικοδομητικής επικοινωνίας των μελών της με τις επιμέρους Ακαδημαϊκές Βιβλιοθήκες.\nΣυγκεκριμένα, το νέο σύστημα:\n•\tΜειώνει κατά πολύ το χρόνο και την εργασία που χρειάζονται για τη συλλογή των στατιστικών στοιχείων\n•\tΣυντελεί στην έγκαιρη αντιμετώπιση των τυχών σφαλμάτων\n•\tΠροσφέρει ευελιξία στη διαχείριση των δεδομένων\n•\tΣυμβάλλει στην ταχύτερη παρουσίαση της ετήσιας έκθεσης Στατιστικών Στοιχείων Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών\nΣυνοπτικά, στην παρούσα εισήγηση:\n•\tΠεριγράφονται οι υπηρεσίες, οι οποίες θα παρέχονται από τη ΜΟΠΑΒ στις Ακαδημαϊκές Βιβλιοθήκες\n•\tΓίνεται περιγραφή της βάσης δεδομένων της ΜΟΠΑΒ όσον αφορά τη δομή, την οργάνωση και τον τρόπο λειτουργίας της\n \n•\tΔίνονται οι απαραίτητες οδηγίες και οι κατευθυντήριες γραμμές για τον τρόπο σύμφωνα με τον οποίο μπορεί κάθε Ακαδημαϊκή Βιβλιοθήκη να έχει πρόσβαση στη βάση δεδομένων, προκειμένου για την καταχώρηση των στοιχείων της."

      "@value" : "One of the most important aims of the Total Quality Management Unit of Greek Academic Libraries (TQMU) is the collection and processing of statistical data, which are related to the characteristics of Greek Academic Libraries, the presentation of these data in a way as understandable as possible, and the establishment of Performance Indicators for the Greek Academic Libraries, which will present the annual progress of each Library. So far the collection of statistical data was being accomplished by sending annually two questionnaires: the questionnaire concerning in general the statistical data for the Greek Academic Libraries and the questionnaire related to the Electronic Library Services.\nRealizing though the need of determining a specific way of collecting data, which will reduce the time needed for their collection and processing, led to the fact that the collecting procedure must be done automatically exploiting the communication capabilities of Internet. According to the example of other European Statistical Projects, such as the LIBECON2000, Total Quality Management Unit created a similar database, in order to record the statistical data. Every Academic Library can have access to the concrete database via TQMU’s website (http://www.mopab.gr).\nThe determination of this specific procedure is changing the way of TQMU’s functioning, due to the radically changes caused in the collection and processing of the statistical data. Further more the new way of data collection offers the opportunities for interactive services and constructive communication between the members of TQMU and the Academic Libraries.\nIn specific, the new way of data collection:\n•\tReduces the time and the task needed for the statistical data collection.\n•\tContributes to the prompt confrontation of any possible mistakes, which might show up during the collection, processing and analysis of the statistical data.\n•\tOffers flexibility in the management of statistical data.\n•\tIs instrumental in saving time presenting the annual Report for the Statistical Data of the Greek Academic Libraries.\nIn brief, at the specific study:\n•\tAre being described the services offered by the Total Quality Management Unit towards the Greek Academic Libraries\n•\tIs being described the database as far as its structure, organization and functioning is concerned.\n•\tAre being given the necessary constructions and guidelines, in order every Academic Library to have access at the database and to insert its statistical data."
