Rollet, SylvieΒασιλείου, ΘανάσηςΟ Αποκλεισμός (Blokada, 2005) θα σημάνει αναμφισβήτητα μία σημαντική στροφή στο έργο του Σεργκέϊ Λόζνιτσα. Αποτελούμενο αποκλειστικά από εικόνες αρχείου οι οποίες καταγράφηκαν από οπερατέρ επικαίρων κατά τη διάρκεια των εννιακοσίων ημερών της πολιορκίας του Λένινγκραντ, η ταινία είναι, βασικά, η πρώτη μίας σειράς «ταινιών μοντάζ» που θα δημιουργήσει ο σκηνοθέτης τα επόμενα χρόνια: Επισκόπηση (Tredstavlenye, 2008), Το Γεγονός (Sobytie, 2015), Η Δίκη (Protsess, 2018) και Η Κηδεία του Κράτους (Gosudartsvenyye pokhorony, 2019). Εγκαινιάζοντας μία νέα πρακτική ντοκιμαντέρ, ο Αποκλεισμός χαρακτηρίζεται απ’ το ότι φέρει μέσα του ό,τι θα αποτελέσει, στη συνέχεια, τη βαθιά ενότητα του έργου του Λόζνιτσα, του οποίου τα ντοκιμαντέρ και οι μυθοπλασίες φαίνεται να αντηχούν, υπόκωφα, στιγμές της ευρωπαϊκής ιστορίας.Blockade (2005), the first in a series of “compilation films” in the filmography of Sergei Loznitsa, paves the way for his documentaries and fiction films that will follow over the years; films which reverberate with the echoes of European history, from Nazism to the collapse of the Soviet regime. What is revealed form the start is the Ukrainian director’s propensity (and stance) towards returning to the images of a forgotten past in an effort to “read” them differently, through the lens of a time that stands in opposition to that of historical progress. We are thus placed in a divided present that oscillates between memory and topicality.
