Το παρόν άρθρο θα προσπαθήσει να παρουσιάσει τη σχέση του κινηματογράφου με την πραγματικότητα και την ιστορική του διάσταση. Θα προσπαθήσει να αποδείξει πως η σχέση του κινηματογράφου με την ιστορία δεν αφορά μόνο στη δυνατότητα που έχει η συγκεκριμένη τέχνη να «αναπαραστήσει» με πειστικότητα ένα ιστορικό γεγονός αλλά πως η φύση του κινηματογραφικού μέσου έχει ιστορική διάσταση. Θα χρησιμοποιήσει ως μέσα αυτής της έρευνας την έννοια της απουσίας της πραγματικότητας που προβάλλεται του Stanley Cavell αλλά και την έννοια του φαντάσματος, όπως αυτή περιγράφεται από τον Jacques Derrida. Κινηματογραφικό παράδειγμα θα αποτελέσει το σημαίνων έργο του Θόδωρου Αγγελόπουλου Το Βλέμμα του Οδυσσέα. (EL)
This article will try to present the relationship between cinema and reality and its historical dimension. It will also try to prove that the relation of cinema with history does not only concern the possibility that this art can “convincingly represent” a historical event but that the nature of the cinematic medium has a historical dimension. The article will use the notion of the absence of reality (Cavell) and the notion of ghost (Derrida) in order to interpret the significant film of Theodoros Angelopoulos Ulysses’ Gaze. (EN)
