Πώς αποτυπώνουν οι χρήσεις του θεάτρου όψεις καιαπόψεις περί της αρχαιότητας, του λαϊκού πολιτισµού, της καθηµερινότητας ή τηςκοινωνικής ζωής; Προσεγγίζουµε τη σκηνή ως πεδίο πολλαπλών συγκρούσεων,συγκλίσεων και αποκλίσεων ανάµεσα στην παράδοση ή την σύµβαση και τονπειραµατισµό, το τοπικό και το παγκόσµιο, το θέατρο και την ζωή, ή το ιερό και τοκοσµικό. Υπάρχει η δυνατότητα ελεύθερης έκφρασης στην σκηνή της Επιδαύρου σεσυλλογικό και προσωπικό επίπεδο; Πώς έχει επιδράσει το δόγµα της συνέχειας τουελληνικού πολιτισµού στην διαµόρφωση του θεσµού των Επιδαυρίων; Ποια είναι ηταυτότητα της σκηνής σήµερα; Παραµένει κυρίως χώρος επεξεργασίας τηςελληνικότητας ή είναι και πεδίο συνάντησης πολιτισµών; Τι θεωρείται αλόγιστη,ακατάλληλη η «βέβηλη» χρήση του χώρου και µε ποια κριτήρια; Ποια είναι ηφυσιογνωµία των κοινών της Επιδαύρου; Το σκίτσο του καλλιτέχνη ΔιονύσηΚαβαλλιεράτου στο εξώφυλλο του τεύχους, θέτει όλα αυτά τα ερωτήµατα συνοπτικάµε µια αυτό-αναφορική εικόνα του θεάτρου. Η µακρόχρονη και πλούσιαπολιτισµική ιστορία της Επιδαύρου συνιστά η ίδια δραµατικό υλικό παράστασηςόπου ανιχνεύουµε, ως θεατές-αναγνώστες το θέατρο της νεοελληνικής ζωής."
