Arbitrage opportunities in the real economy happen rarely. Because of the different
type of costs that exist, the only possibility of exploitation of the market inefficiencies
is through the stock market. A stock market is a place in which there is a trade that
happens amongst educated people with years of experience in economics and other
topics. The virtual economics of the MMORPG game Guild Wars 2 is accessible
for everybody with no need of education on economics. We collect constantly
changing in-game market data, calculate a Band Of Inaction in which players
cannot gain profits through the market inefficiencies and when this BoI does not
hold, arbitrage opportunities arise. We find that prices remain in BoI and when
they leak away, they quickly return to normal levels.
