Σκοπός της παρούσας μεταπτυχιακής εργασίας είναι να συγκεντρώσει και να μελετήσει τα σωζόμενα κείμενα που απαρτίζουν το αγιολογικό dossier της Αγίας Ίας· τις ανώνυμες, δηλαδή, προμεταφραστικές Παραλλαγές του Μαρτυρίου και το μοναδικό σωζόμενο Εγκώμιό της, γραμμένο από τον μοναχό και πρεσβύτερο της Μονής των Μαγγάνων, Μακάριο, επί βασιλείας Ανδρονίκου Β΄ Παλαιολόγου (1282-1328).

The purpose of the present postgraduate thesis is to collect and examine the surviving texts that form the hagiographical dossier of St. Ia; the dossier comprises the two anonymous, that is, premetaphrastic versions of the Passio of the Saint and the only surviving Encomium, written by the monk and presbyter of the Monastery of Mangana, Makarios, during the reign of Andronikos II Palaiologos (1282-1328).
