Η παρούσα εργασία αφορά το πολιτικό τραγούδι και κυρίως τον πολιτικό στίχο κατά την πρώτη δεκαετία της Μεταπολίτευσης στην Ελλάδα (1974 – 1984) και μελετά την περίπτωση του πολιτικοποιημένου ποιητή – στιχουργού Άλκη Αλκαίου, κυρίως κατά την πρώτη στιχουργική του περίοδο. Στόχος της εργασίας είναι να ερμηνεύσει και να αναδείξει τη συμβολή του Άλκη Αλκαίου στο πολιτικό τραγούδι της εποχής, καθώς και τη συνολική συνεισφορά του στο ελληνικό τραγούδι της περιόδου. Κύρια εργαλεία της μεθοδολογίας που χρησιμοποιήθηκε στην παρούσα εργασία αποτέλεσαν η βιβλιογραφική έρευνα, η καταγραφή και μελέτη συνεντεύξεων και η ανάλυση-ερμηνεία τραγουδιών του δημιουργού από την πρώτη στιχουργική περίοδο, η οποία επιλέχθηκε με κριτήριο τον έντονα πολιτικοποιημένο χαρακτήρα των στίχων.

The present thesis concerns the political song and more specifically the lyrics in political song during the first decade after the fall of the Junta regime in Greece (1974 – 1984); it studies the case of the politicized poet-songwriter Alkis Alkaios, mainly during the first period of his work. The aim of the paper is to interpret and highlight the contribution of Alkis Alkaios to the political song of the time, as well as his overall contribution to the Greek song of the period. The methodology used in this work consists of bibliographic research, analysis of interviews of artists related to the research and the analysis- interpretation of specific songs of Alkis Alkaios, songs which belong to the first lyric period which was chosen based on the highly politicized character of the lyrics.
