Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή διερευνά την σχέση ανάμεσα στον πληθωρισμό και στην ανεργία για την Πορτογαλική οικονομία την περίοδο 1991-2021. Σκοπός της μελέτης είναι να εξετάσει την ύπαρξη της καμπύλης Phillips. Σύμφωνα με τα αποτελέσματα που προέκυψαν από την χρήση της μεθόδου συνολοκλήρωσης Johansen υπάρχει μακροχρόνια σχέση μεταξύ του πληθωρισμού και της ανεργίας. Αντίθετα, με τον αντίστοιχο έλεγχο αιτιότητας κατά Granger δεν φάνηκε να προκύπτει σχέση αιτιότητας ανάμεσα στις μεταβλητές. This study examines the relationship between inflation and unemployment for Portuguese economy over the period 1991-2021. The aim of this research is to investigate the existence of the Phillips curve. According to the results of the Johansen cointegration test there is a long-term relationship between inflation and unemployment. In contrast, the Granger causality test showed that there is no causal relationship between the variables.
