The Society was founded in 2005 by Faculty members of Greek Universities whose field of expertise is on Environmental Education. The aims of the Society are: -The promotion of scientific research in the field of Environmental Education for Sustainability -The dissemination of this research in the Greek and international scientific community -The active involvement in and creative contribution to the international dialogue on these issues. H.A.S.E.E.S. aims to provide support to the wider Environmental Education (EE) community (teachers, educators and policy-makers) who are involved in the implementation of EE, and assist institutions (Ministries and other bodies) to make decisions on EE-related issues.
