Ο στόχος της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να παρουσιάσει τα βασικά σημεία των σχέσεων της Γιουγκοσλαβίας με τη Δύση (ΗΠΑ, Μεγάλη Βρετανία, Γαλλία) κατά τη διάρκεια του Β΄ Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου (1939-1945). Η εργασία χωρίζεται σε 3 μέρη: α) την περίοδο 1939-1941 που αφορά τις σχέσεις του γιουγκοσλαβικού κράτους με τη Δύση πριν την εισβολή του Άξονα στη χώρα, β) την περίοδο 1941-1945 όπου Βρετανοί-Κυβέρνηση Εξορίας-Τσέτνικς συγκρούονται με τους Παρτιζάνους για την εξουσία μεταπολεμικά, και γ) την περίοδο από την απελευθέρωση της χώρας μέχρι την δημιουργία της Ομοσπονδιακής Λαϊκής Δημοκρατίας της Γιουγκοσλαβίας τον Δεκέμβρη του 1945 που αφορά τις σχέσεις της πρώτης κυβέρνησης Τίτο με τη Δύση.
The aim of this essay is to examine the key points of the relations of Yugoslavia with the West (USA, Great Britain, France) during the Second World War (1939-1945). The essay is divided into 3 parts: a) the period 1939-1941 concerning the relations of the Yugoslav state with the West prior to the Axis invasion in the country, b) the period 1941-1945 when the British-Government-in-exile-Chetniks struggle with the Partisans over the postwar power, and c) the period from the liberation of the country till the formation of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia in December 1945, regarding the relations of the first Tito's government with the West.
