Στo Μουσείο TorrejondeArges κοντά στη Μαδρίτη εντοπίστηκε εικόνα του αγίου Νικολάου με δώδεκα σκηνές στο πλαίσιο, που μπορεί να αποδοθεί στον κρητικό ζωγράφο Γεώργιο Κλόντζα. Η εικόνα παραβάλλεται με γνωστές κρητικές εικόνες του ίδιου θέματος ( Πάτμος, Βενετία, Αθήνα). Εξετάζεται η εικονογραφία του ένθρονου ιεράρχη, οι δέκα βιογραφικές σκηνές του, καθώς και οι δύο παρένθετες σκηνές σε καίρια θέση, στο άνω τμήμα του πλαισίου: Ο Αποκεφαλισμός της αγίας Παρασκευής και ο Λιθοβολισμός του αγίου Στεφάνου.

The icon of St Nicholas with twelve scenes on the border was located in the Torrejon de Arges Museum, near Madrid, and is attributed to Georgios Klontzas. The work is compared with known Cretan icons of the same subject (Patmos, Venice, Athens). Examined are the iconography of the enthroned hierarch, the ten vita scenes of the saint, as well as the two interpolated scenes in a conspicuous position in the upper border: the Beheading of St Paraskevi and the Stoning of St Stephen.
