Tα τελευταία χρόνια η «ποιότητα ζωής» έχει αναδειχθεί σε αρκετά δημοφιλή δείκτη αξιολόγησης θεραπευτικού αποτελέσματος στο πεδίο των παροχών υπηρεσιών ψυχικής υγείας. Αυτή η μελέτη παρουσιάζει τα ποιοτικά αποτελέσματα μιας ευρύτερης έρευνας, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο πλαίσιο εκπόνησης διδακτορικής διατριβής με σκοπό να εξετάσει την ποιότητα ζωής (ΠΖ) 44 χρηστών 2 υπηρεσιών ψυχικής υγείας στην κοινότητα, με διάγνωση σχιζοφρένεια, μανιοκατάθλιψη κα ιδεοψυχαναγκαστική διαταραχή. Τα ερευνητικά πλαίσια ήταν δύο Κέντρα Κοινοτικής Ψυχικής Υγείας (ΚΚΨΥ) στην Αθήνα. Η έρευνα χρησιμοποίησε μικτή μέθοδο, ποσοτικά εργαλεία ΠΖ, τα οποία μετρούν αντικειμενικούς και υποκειμενικούς δείκτες ΠΖ, καθώς και 22 ημιδομημένες συνεντεύξεις. Τα ποιοτικά ευρήματα κατέδειξαν ότι οι αναπαραστάσεις των χρηστών από τα θεραπευτικά τους πλαίσια ήταν θετικές και η συμμετοχή τους στα κοινοτικά προγράμματα βελτίωσε τον τομέα των κοινωνικών και προσωπικών σχέσεων. Σε ό,τι αφορά το προσωπικό νόημα ΠΖ, οι συμμετέχοντες αναφέρθηκαν εκτός από αντικειμενικούς δείκτες ΠΖ, σε εσωτερικούς παράγοντες ευτυχίας όπως η δημιουργικότητα και η προσωπική ανάπτυξη. (EL)
Quality of life (QOL) is a matter of concern for people who are diagnosed with persistent mental distress. This paper presents the qualitative findings of a PhD project, which examined the QOL perceptions of 44 adults diagnosed with schizophrenia, manic depressive disorder or compulsive depressive disorder, who attended two Community Mental Health Centres, in Athens. The study employed a combined method using two standardized QOL instruments and 22 semi-structured interviews. Qualitative outcomes indicated that the participants’ representations of their care environments were positive, they participated in decisions regarding their medical treatment and their involvement in the MHCs had a positive impact on their social and intimate relationships. In terms of personal meaning of QOL, participants referred to objective QOL indicators, and further to a number of internal standards related to creativity and personal growth. (EN)
