The precise control of wave packet tunnelling by external driving fields is of major relevance and interest in many brackets of optics. Two different phenomena attract par¬ticular interest: dynamic localization in longitudinally periodic potentials wells which are well suited to investigate tunnelling control phenomena. In this thesis we will dis¬cuss some basic properties that waveguide arrays hold as well as we will try to create waveguide arrays that consist of two different media with purpose to have imaging of the initial condition at the output of the array.
