Characteristics of entrepreneurship in greek agriculture : the case of Pentalofos Thessaloniki

The purpose of this thesis is to present the characteristics of entrepreneurship in Greek agriculture and to investigate the business activities of Pentalofo farmers of Pref.. Originally, the concept and characteristics of entrepreneurship given. Then talk about competitiveness in the agricultural sector, presented the features of Greek agriculture and ways of strengthening and performed field survey conducted through questionnaires completed by farmers. The analysis of data was collected using the statistical package SPSS 21.0 and showed among other things, that the majority of leaders / owners of farms in Pentalofo sees himself as an entrepreneur. However, entrepreneurship is not highly developed in the region and efforts should be made to strengthen it. Especially should strengthen female entrepreneurship and that of young farmers.
