Ο σκοπός της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η υλοποίηση και η ανάπτυξη ενός συστήματος που θα διευκολύνει την πρόσβαση των φοιτητών τόσο στην φοιτητική λέσχη, όσο και στις υπόλοιπες εγκαταστάσεις του πανεπιστημίου. Αυτό γίνεται αξιοποιώντας τη δημοφιλή πλατφόρμα (μικροϋπολογιστή) Rasberry Pi.
Ο μικροϋπολογιστής συνδέεται με έναν ασφαλή διακομιστή, ο οποίος χρησιμοποιείται για την πιστοποίηση της ταυτότητας των χρηστών και παράγει σελίδες προβολής στατιστικών χρήσης για το διαχειριστή
Radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies are getting popularity due to their low cost, minimal size and inexpensive maintenance. In this thesis, we build a tool and present how the emerging RFID technology can be used for a smarter university. As a case study, a prototype device and the associated software were developed to ease the boarding service at our university. The proposed system is capable of authenticating university students who receive such a service and generates informative diagrams based on their usage. These data can be exploited by the administrator. All the infrastructure is based on a Raspberry Pi device that handles all the requests, say, the user login, and sends the related data to the server.
