Στο κεφάλαιο αυτό θα παρουσιάσουμε τον αλγόριθμο Naïve Bayes. Η παρουσίασή του αφορά αρχικά τα κύρια χαρακτηριστικά του αλγορίθμου που μας ενδιαφέρουν και τις παραμέτρους του. Το επόμενο βήμα είναι η διαδικασία εφαρμογής του αλγορίθμου στο RapidMiner. Θα παρουσιαστούν δύο μελέτες περίπτωσης στις οποίες θα γίνει αναλυτική παρουσίαση του προβλήματος προς μελέτη, των δεδομένων που θα αξιοποιηθούν στην ανάλυση, της εφαρμογής της μεθόδου Naïve Bayes στο RapidMiner, των αποτελεσμάτων (πινάκων και διαγραμμάτων), καθώς και του σχολιασμού τους, προκειμένου να εξαχθούν τα απαραίτητα συμπεράσματα.

In this chapter we will present the Naïve Bayes algorithm. In the beginning we present the main characteristics of the algorithm and its parameters. The next step is how to apply the algorithm to RapidMiner. Two case studies will be presented in which there will be a detailed presentation of the problem to be studied, the data that will be used in the analysis, the application of the Naïve Bayes method in RapidMiner, the results (tables and diagrams), as well as their annotation in order to extract the necessary conclusions.
