Σύμφωνα με την Εταιρική Κοινωνική Ευθύνη (ΕΚΕ), οι επιχειρήσεις ενσωματώνουν σε εθελοντική βάση, πρακτικές κοινωνικών και περιβαλλοντικών δράσεων, που είναι πέρα από όλα όσα επιβάλλονται από τη νομοθεσία. Το κεφάλαιο αυτό εξετάζει: τις ευθύνες των επιχειρήσεων απέναντι στην κοινωνία, τη σημασία της ΕΚΕ, τους άξονες εφαρμογής της ΕΚΕ και τα πλεονεκτήματα από την εφαρμογή συστημάτων ΕΚΕ.

According to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), organizations incorporate voluntary practices of social and environmental actions, which are beyond what is obligatory by law. This chapter examines the responsibilities of businesses towards society, the importance of CSR, the principles of CSR implementation and the advantages of implementing CSR systems.
