Τhis metalexicographic paper aims to a. present the main categories of dialect dictionaries, b. provide and overview of Greek and international dialect lexicography, focusing on projects similar to the Historical Dictionary of the Academy of Athens (ILNE) and c. examine, according to international lexicographical principles and practice, the main lexicographic problems encountered in the megastructure, the macrostructure and the microstructure of philological/scholarly and amateur dialect dictionaries.
