In this master thesis we are attempted, through performance analysis and critique, which are studied in direct connection with the original and translational text of the aeschylean "Persians", to examine, on the one hand whether the recognized «signs» of the particular directorial approach point out the individual meanings of aeschylean dramaturgy and on the other hand whether the methods of epic - political theatre may respond to the conventions of the ancient Greek tragedy and especially the aeschylean.

Στην παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διπλωματική εργασία επιχειρούμε μέσω της παραστασιακής ανάλυσης και της κριτικογραφίας, που μελετώνται σε άμεση συνάρτηση με το πρωτότυπο και μεταφραστικό κείμενο των αισχύλειων "Περσών", να εξετάσουμε, αφενός κατά πόσον τα αναγνωρισμένα «σημεία» της συγκεκριμένης σκηνικής οπτικής αναδεικνύουν τα επιμέρους νοήματα της αισχύλειας δραματουργίας και αφετέρου αν οι μέθοδοι του επικού – πολιτικού θεάτρου δύνανται να ανταποκριθούν στις συμβάσεις της αρχαιοελληνικής τραγωδίας και δη της αισχύλειας.
