The present work deals with industrial heritage and visualization through the use of participatory cultural platforms. In particular, it describes the industrial heritage of Agrinio with a particular focus on local tobacco production and its impact on the formation of the locality and the characters of the people associated with it. A special report and detailed presentation of the tobacco mills of the area is made in an effort to highlight their importance. At the same time, it is attempted to visualize Culturegateworldwide, by posting on a specific participative cultural platform, analyzing the reasons and the advantages of this choice compared to other corresponding cultural platforms.

Η παρούσα εργασία πραγματεύεται τη βιομηχανική κληρονομιά και την οπτικοποίησή της μέσω της χρήσης συμμετοχικών πολιτιστικών πλατφορμών. Συγκεκριμένα, περιγράφεται η βιομηχανική κληρονομιά του Αγρινίου με ιδιαίτερη εστίαση στην τοπική παραγωγή καπνού και τον αντίκτυπό αυτής στη διαμόρφωση του τόπου και των χαρακτήρων των ανθρώπων που σχετίζονταν μαζί της. Γίνεται ειδική αναφορά και αναλυτική παρουσίαση των καπναποθηκών της περιοχής σε μια προσπάθεια ανάδειξης της σπουδαιότητάς τους. Παράλληλα, επιχειρείται η οπτικοποίησή τους, μέσα από αναρτήσεις σε μια συγκεκριμένη συμμετοχική πολιτιστική πλατφόρμα, την Culturegateworldwide, αναλύοντας και τους λόγους-τα πλεονεκτήματα- της επιλογής αυτής σε σύγκριση με άλλες αντίστοιχες πολιτιστικές πλατφόρμες.
