An analytical model in a closed form for the determination of the response of exposed type column-bases under cyclic loading is proposed Verification of this model with some existing experimental results seems to be satisfactory, Introduction of this model into equilibrium equations of the whole structure lends to a better estimation of the distribution of internal forces, taking into account the column-base semi-rigidity.
