The paper gives the results of the study on the preparation of nickel composite electrocoatings with oil containing microcapsules using Watts' bath and also of copper composite coatings containing SiO2 particles, D.C. and pulsed current has been used. X-ray analysis and scanning electron microscopic techniques have been used to evaluate electrocrystallisation texture and surface morphology respectively of the deposits. The results have shown that it is possible to deposit nickel/oil containing microcapsule coatings. The use of pulse current gives better Cu-SiO2 coatings. (EN)
