Στην παρούσα εργασία αναλύονται σε αντίστοιχα κεφάλαια επτά υψηλά κτήρια-ορόσημα που πέρασαν στην ιστορία ως νεοτερικές αρχιτεκτονικές δομές οι οποίες έδωσαν το παράδειγμα σε επόμενες γενεές αρχιτεκτόνων να πειραματιστούν με νέα υλικά και συνθετότερο σχεδιασμό για να πετύχουν μεγαλύτερο ύψος στα οικοδομούμενα κτίρια. Αναλυτικότερα, κάθε κεφάλαιο αναφέρεται στην αφετηριακή τεχνολογική καινοτομία που έδωσε ώθηση στην κατασκευή ενός υψηλότερου απο πρίν κτηρίου. Δομές και εφευρέσεις που συνέβαλλαν στην δημιουργία ουρανοξυστών θα αποκαλυφθούν, ενώ θα επισημανθούν τα ευφυή βήματα που επέτρεψαν την σταδιακά ανύψωση των υψηλών κτιρίων στο σημερινό μέγιστο που είναι 828 μέτρα. The present Thesis analyzes in respective chapters seven landmark high-rise buildi ngs passed in history as modern architectural structures that set the example for future generati ons of architects to experiment with new materials and more compl ex designs in order to achieve greater constructi on heights. In more detail, each chapter refers to the starting technological innovati on whi ch gave impetus to the construction of buildi ngs even higher than before. Structures and inventions that contributed to the creati on of skyscrapers will be revealed, while intelligent ideas that allowed the gradual elevation of the hi gh buildi ngs at the current maximum whi ch is 828 meters (EN)
