The PhD thesis is examining the impact of the economy on party choice from 1989 until 2009. During that period we observe the realignment of the Greek voters from the traditional left-right ideological cleavage and the emergence of political issues, such us the role of economic perceptions.
Η διδακτορική διατριβή μελετάει την εκλογική συμπεριφορά των Ελλήνων ψηφοφόρων κατά την περίοδο της Γ' Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας. Στόχος την διατριβής είναι να εξετάσει την μετάβαση από την ιδεολογική ψήφο, που κυριάρχησε μέχρι και το τέλος της δεκαετίας του 1980, στην ψήφο με κυρίαρχα κριτήρια τα πολιτικά ζητήματα (issues). Στην διδακτορική διατριβή με τη χρήση ποσοτικών μοντέλων παρουσιάζεται ο ρόλος της οικονομίας ως κυρίαρχο κριτήριο της ψήφου.
