The present doctoral thesis is a first effort to depict the history of the Greek community of Barletta in Italy. The thesis is based on reliable notary documents which have been printed on the one hand, and on the other on a remarkable number of unpublished documents that have been tracked during an archivic investigation. It is divided in three parts; at the first one, is being presented the “temporary” presence of Greeks in Barletta before the establishment of an organized community, at the second is being described the history of the so called “Coroneans” community, and at the last one, is being narrated the history of the so called “Epirotes” community. There is an index of original documents, maps and photos which are referred to the Community of Barletta.
Η παρούσα διδακτορική διατριβή συνιστά μια πρώτη προσπάθεια να σκιαγραφηθεί η ιστορία της Ελληνικής Κοινότητας στην Barletta της Ιταλίας. Η εργασία βασίζεται στην αξιοποίηση μιας σειράς δημοσιευμένων νοτιαριακών εγγράφων καθώς και σε ένα σημαντικό αριθμό ανέκδοτων εγγράφων που εντοπίστηκαν μετά από αρχειακή έρευνα. Διαιρείται σε τρία μέρη: στο πρώτο παρουσιάζεται η σποραδική παρουσία Ελλήνων στην Barletta πριν από την ίδρυση οργανωμένης κοινότητας, στο δεύτερο μέρος περιγράφεται η ιστορία της κοινότητας των λεγόμενων «Κορωναίων», και στο τρίτο η ιστορία της κοινότητας των «Ηπειρωτών». Ακολουθεί παράρτημα με μεταγραμμένα έγγραφα, χάρτες και φωτογραφίες.
