Αντικειμενικός σκοπός της διατριβής είναι να διερευνήσουμε τον τρόπο με τον οποίο διαφορετικοί τύποι τουριστικής ανάπτυξης επηρεάζουν τη βιωσιμότητα της ξενοδοχειακής μονάδας αλλά και το πώς η ίδια η μονάδα μπορεί να συνεισφέρει στη βιωσιμότητα του εκάστοτε τουριστικού προϊόντος. Η διατριβή ενασχολείται θεματικά με το βιώσιμο τουρισμό και τις ξενοδοχειακές επιχειρήσεις. Στο πρώτο μέρος αναλύονται βιβλιογραφικά οι δύο παραπάνω θεματικές ενότητες. Στη συνέχεια γίνεται παρουσίαση των αριθμοδεικτών που θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για την εκτίμηση της αποδοτικότητας των μονάδων. Κατόπιν αναλύεται η μεθοδολογία και η παρουσίαση της περιοχής της Λέσβου. Ακολουθεί η παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων της έρευνας και τα βασικά συμπεράσματα.
The objective of this thesis is to investigate the way in which different types of tourism development affect the sustainability of the hotel unit and how the unit itself can contribute to the sustainability of each tourism product.The thesis theme practitioner engages with sustainable tourism and hotel business. The first part analyzes the literature above two themes. Then we present the indicators to be used to assess the efficiency of the units. Then analyzed the methodology and the presentation of Lesvos region, the presentation of research results and the main conclusions.
