We evaluated the role of microsurgical testicular biopsy in the allevation of male infertility. Forty two non-obstructed azoospermic men underwent magnified testicular biopsy and at the same time, in the same testis, a piece of testicular tissue was recovered using a non-magnified approach. Microsurgical testicular biopsy represents the gold standard for sperm recovery in non-obstructed azoospermic men.
Συγκρίναμε δυο τεχνικές εύρεσης σπερματοζωαρίων από άνδρες με μη αποφρακτική αζωοσπερμία. Την ορχική βιοψία με και χωρίς τη χρήση μικροσκοπίου στον ίδιο ασθενή. Συνολικά μελετήθηκαν 42 ασθενείς. Αν και ο χειρουργικός χρόνος ήταν μεγαλύτερος στην μικροχειρουργική η εύρεση και λήψη σπερματοζωαρίων και σπερματίδων με την μικροχειρουργική είχε καλύτερα αποτελέσματα. Μετεγχειρητικά δεν υπήρξαν αιματώματα και επιπλοκές , ενώ διατηρείται μεγαλύτερο τμήμα ορχικού ιστού. Η ορχική βιοψία με τη χρήση μικροσκοπίου υπερέχει ως προς την αποτελεσματικότητα, αλλά και τις πιθανές μετεγχειρητικές επιπλοκές.
