This dissertation aims to ask questions and provide answers to the historical material related to the action and organization of bourgeois political parties, from the Liberation to the end of the civil war. Its focus is not on the study of the events of the civil war, but on the course of bourgeois parties, the role of politicians in developments, the exploration of identity, strategy and tactics of each party, except the Greek Communist Party. It aims to highlight the various differences in the policy pursued, not only between the two dominant parties of the time (Liberal Party and People's Party) but also within the same party formation.
Η παρούσα διατριβή φιλοδοξεί να θέσει ερωτήματα και να δώσει απαντήσεις στο ιστορικό υλικό που σχετίζεται με τη δράση και την οργάνωση των αστικών πολιτικών κομμάτων, από την Απελευθέρωση μέχρι και τη λήξη του εμφυλίου. Στο επίκεντρό της βρίσκεται όχι η μελέτη των γεγονότων του εμφυλίου, αλλά η πορεία των αστικών κομμάτων, ο ρόλος των πολιτικών προσώπων στις εξελίξεις, η διερεύνηση της ταυτότητας, της στρατηγικής και των τακτικών του κάθε κόμματος, πλην του Κ.Κ.Ε. Στοχεύει στην ανάδειξη των ποικίλλων διαφοροποιήσεων στην πολιτική που ασκήθηκε, όχι μόνο μεταξύ των δυο κυρίαρχων κομμάτων της εποχής (Κόμμα Φιλελευθέρων και Λαϊκό Κόμμα) αλλά και εντός του ίδιου κομματικού σχηματισμού.
