The systematic exploitation of a company's human potential is one of the key and most decisive factors for the achievement of its objectives. In today's highly competitive economic and political environment, the co-ordination of the functions necessary for managing and developing this precious resource requires mainly a systematic diagnosis process of the training and development needs for the employees of an enterprise. In this work we present via a comparative evaluation of the results extracted from three researches, the tactic and the actions of Greek enterprises on issues referring to the implementation of training and development programs for their employees. From the comparison and evaluation of the results we also extract conclusions for the difficulties that the Greek small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face in the actual implementation process as well as for the future perspectives and prospects.
