Στην παρούσα εργασία ο λόγος δίνεται στις γυναίκες Ρομά, οι οποίες έχουν σπουδαία και σημαντικά γεγονότα και ιστορίες να αφηγηθούν. Ειδικότερα, διερευνώνται στάσεις και αντιλήψεις των γυναικών Ρομά σχετικά με ζητήματα που άπτονται της εκπαίδευσης και συγκεκριμένα της φοίτησης στην Τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση. Επιπροσθέτως, επιδιώκεται να αναδειχθεί ο τρόπος με τον οποίο οι γυναίκες διαχειρίστηκαν τις προκλήσεις και τα εμπόδια που προέκυψαν κατά την φοίτησή τους σε όλες τις βαθμίδες εκπαίδευσης. Εστιάζοντας στα θετικά σημεία των εμπειριών και των βιωμάτων τους, μέσω της έρευνας αναδεικνύονται: αναμνήσεις από τα μαθητικά χρόνια, στήριξη από την οικογένειά τους, γυναίκες-πρότυπα που τις ενέπνευσαν και τις υποστήριξαν σε κρίσιμες στιγμές και κυρίως τα κίνητρα των ίδιων, που σε συνδυασμό με τις ατομικές τους ικανότητες τις οδήγησαν σε ένα εκπαιδευτικό ταξίδι που τους άλλαξε την ζωή.

In the present work the floor is given to women and in fact Roma women, who have very important events and stories to tell. In particular, the content of the research concerns the perspective which they experience, certain limitations and challenges due to the mentality of the Roma community, such as education and more specifically in Higher Education. The aim is to highlight the special way in which women managed the difficulties they faced and especially to illuminate the positive aspects. Focusing on their positive experiences and memories during school years, they reveal which people were supportive to them and inspired them as role models. Especially, the women describe important incidents regarding studies and who were the women that helped them make serious decisions that in combination with their motivation led them to this educational journey that changed their lives.
