Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, talks with Margaritis Proedrou, on the occasion of his participation in the Conference on the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA). The event was held on September 26 2017 in Athens, by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. In his exclusive interview to EKT, Carlos Moedas talks about the initiatives of the Commission for Open Science and Open Innovation, and presents the activities for the exploitation of research results, as well as the next steps towards the 9th Framework Programme for research and innovation. Regarding the PRIMA initiative, he underlines the significant benefits of such initiatives as part of science diplomacy. (EL)
