An architectural fragment found reused in the church of Ag. Ioannis of Lendas, very close to the archaeological site of Lebena, bears an inscription mentioning an unknown emperor. The style of the lettering and the formula applied in the dedication suggest a chronology within the first quarter of the 2nd c. AD. The authors’ hypothesis of dating the inscription to the reign of emperor Trajan would insert the building to which it belongs in the wider context of the reconstruction following the earthquake of 66 AD.
