Στην παρούσα εργασία μελετήσαμε την γενετική ποικιλότητα πληθυσμών του Helleborus odorus Waldst. Kit. subsp. cyclophyllus (A.Braun) Maire & Petitm στην Ελλάδα. Καταλήξαμε ότι ο πληθυσμός από το Βελούχι εμφάνισε τον μεγαλύτερο βαθμό ποικιλότητας και θα μπορούσε να αποτελέσει ένα κέντρο ποικιλότητας για το taxon, ενώ ο Όλυμπος εμφάνισε το μικρότερο επίπεδο γενετικής ποικιλότητας. Επιπλέον η διαπληθυσμιακή ποικιλότητα αποτελεί μόλις το 29% της συνολικής, ενώ οι ενδοπληθυσμιακή το 71%. Το γεγονός αυτό υποδεικνύει την επικοινωνία των πληθυσμών μεταξύ τους, με μια πιθανή εξαίρεση ορισμένων εκ των πληθυσμών.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the genetic diversity of Helleborus odorus Waldst. Kit. subsp. cyclophyllus (A.Braun) Maire & Petitm population in Greece. In conclusion, the population collected from Velouhi showed the highest level of diversity and could be a center of diversity for the taxon, while the population from Olympos had the lowest degree of genetic diversity. Additionally, the diversity among the studied population is only 29% of the total, whereas within population is 71%. This indicates the communication of the populations to each other, with a possible exception of some of the populations.
