Στόχος της παρούσας διπλωματικής αποτέλεσε η μελέτη των Field Effect Transistor Γραφενίου με back gate (ηλεκτρόδιο πύλης στο υπόστρωμα). Συγκεκριμένα σχεδιάσθηκε μάσκα λιθογραφίας για τα GFET, εν συνεχεία ακολούθησε η κατασκευή αυτών στον καθαρό χώρο του Ινστιτούτο Νανοεπιστήμης και Νανοτεχνολογιας. Στο επόμενο βήμα οι διατάξεις των GFET χαρκτηρίστικαν ηλεκτρικά και εξήχθησαν οι καμπύλες λειτουργίας τους. Τέλος, οι διατάξεις υποβλήθησαν σε έκθεση ακτινοβολίας διάφορων μηκών κύματος (ορατού και υπέρυθρου φωτός) με σκοπό την εξέταση της μεταβολής των χαρακτηριστικών καμπυλών λειτουργίας τους. Οι μεταβολές αυτές παρουσιάζονται συναρτήσει του μήκους κύματος της ακτινοβολίας και προσδίδουν στα GFET ιδιότητες φωτοανιχνευτή. (EL)
Purpose of this diploma thesis was the research of back gated Graphene Field Effect Transistors, where the substrate acts as a get electrode. First step was the design of the lithography mask and then the fabrication process that took place at the clean room of the Institute for Nanoscience and Nanoelectronics. Second step was the electrical characterization of the devices, which led to the obtainment of the characteristic curves. Last step was the exposure of the fabricated GFETs to LED radiation of different wavelengths (visible and infrared light) in order to examine the change of their characteristics. Those changes are presented in comparison to the radiation wavelength and give the GFETs photodetector capabilities. (EN)
