Σε αυτή την εργασία πραγματευόμαστε οριακά θεωρήματα σε τυχαίους πίνακες. Συγκεκριμένα, θα εξάγουμε τον νόμο ημικυκλίου του Wigner και τον νόμο του Marchenko-Pastur. Στην συνέχεια θα εξάγουμε την κατανομή Tracy-Widom που περιγράφει την ασυμπτωτική συμπεριφορά της μέγιστης ιδιοτιμής ενός πίνακα GUE. Στο τέλος, θα θίξουμε την καθολικότητα της κατανομής αυτής, και θα δούμε συγκεκριμένα την εμφάνισή της στο πρόβλημα της μέγιστης αύξουσας υπακολουθίας - το πρόβλημα του Ulam. (EL)

In this project we deal with limit theorems in random matrices. In particular, we deduce Wigner's semicircle law and the Marchenko-Pastur distribution. Subsequently, we deduce the Tracy-Widom distribution which describes the asymptotic behavior of the largest eigenvalue of a GUE matrix. Finally, we hint at the universality of said distribution, by connecting it with the problem of the longest increasing subsequence - Ulam's problem. (EN)
