Το προκάρδιο άλγος είναι το πιο συχνό αίτιο επισκεψιμότητας στο ΤΕΠ. Για τον λόγο αυτό είναι αναγκαίο να γίνεται η σωστή διαλογή και διάγνωση των ασθενών που πάσχουν από Οξύ Στεφανιαίο Σύνδρομο (ΟΣΣ). Βάση των πρόσφατων κατευθυντήριων οδηγιών εξέταση πρώτης γραμμής αποτελεί η μέτρηση τροπονίνης υψηλής ευαισθησίας (ΤΝΙ). (EL)
