Στα πλαίσια της παρούσας εργασίας, μελετήθηκε η χημική σύσταση του οργανικού εκχυλίσματος του φαιοφύκους Dictyota fasciola, δείγμα του οποίου συλλέχθηκε τον Αύγουστο του 2009 στη νήσο Ρόδο, στη νότια πλευρά του νησιού, στην περιοχή Πλημμύρι, σε βάθος 1 m. Η μελέτη αυτή είχε σαν αποτέλεσμα την απομόνωση μέσω χρωματογραφικών διαχωρισμών και την ταυτοποίηση μέσω φασματοσκοπικών μεθόδων NMR και MS δεκατριών δευτερογενών μεταβολιτών. Συγκεκριμένα, απομονώθηκαν και ταυτοποιήθηκαν: α.) επτά δολαμπελλάνια, εκ των οποίων τα τρία είναι νέα φυσικά προϊόντα β.) δύο διτερπένια με σκελετό ξενικανίου γ.) δύο διτερπένια με σκελετό περυδροαζουλενίου δ.) ένα διτερπένιο με σκελετό δικυκλο [4.3.1]δεκανίου και ε.) ένα στεροειδές. The present thesis focuses on the chemical investigation of the organic extract of the brown alga Dictyota fasciola collected on the at the South coasts of the island of Rhodes, at a depth of 1 m in August 2009. Extraction of the algal specimens with mixtures of CH2Cl2/MeOH, followed by a series of chromatographic separations led to the isolation and structure elucidation of thirteen secondary metabolites. The structures and relative configurations of the isolated natural products were established by means of spectroscopic analyses, including 1D and 2D NMR experiments, as well as MS data. The isolated metabolites include: a.) seven dolabellane diterpenes, three of which are new natural products b.) two xenicane diterpenes c.) two perhydroazulene diterpenes d.) a diterpene featuring the bicyclo [4.3.1] decane skeleton and e.) a steroid.
