Impaired endothelium-dependent, flow-mediated dilatation of the brachial artery was observed in a 50-year-old premenopausal female non-smoker with idiopathic hemochromatosis. Endothelial dysfunction observed in this patient supports a relationship between body iron stores and early atherosclerotic process. (EN)
