Στην παρούσα εργασία εξετάζεται λεπτομερώς το προφίλ των γυναικών συντακτριών των "Ηρωίδων" ως μητέρων-μητριών. Αναλύεται ο τρόπος με τον οποίο οι γυναίκες συνδυάζουν τις δύο ταυτότητες, όπως αυτές παρουσιάζονται από τον Οβίδιο. Παρουσιάζεται η μυθολογική επεξεργασία των πηγών από τον Οβίδιο και ο μετασχηματισμός των γυναικείων χαρακτήρων στο ελεγειακό-επιστολικό περιβάλλον. Στη συνέχεια, η μητρότητα των γυναικών διερευνάται από γλωσσική σκοπιά, βάσει των λεκτικών αναφορών των γυναικών προς τους γιους τους. Οι αναφορές αυτές εξετάζονται σε όλα τα χρονικά στάδια της ζωής των τέκνων, από την εγκυμοσύνη, τη γέννηση και την ανατροφή έως τον θάνατο των τέκνων. Παρουσιάζονται, επιπλέον, τα συναισθήματα που οι συντάκτριες εκφράζουν σε σχέση με τα βιολογικά ή τα θετά παιδιά τους. Οι γυναίκες αυτές υποβάλλονται, ακόμη, σε κριτική ανάλυση ως προς το αν και κατά πόσο μπορούν να παραλληλιστούν με τα σύγχρονα του Οβιδίου πρότυπα της "matrona" και της Ρωμαίας μητέρας και μητριάς. This paper examines in detail the profile of the female writers of "Heroides" as mothers-stepmothers. The way in which the women combine the two identities as presented by Ovid is analysed. Ovid's mythological treatment of the sources and the transformation of the female characters in the elegiac-epistolary setting is presented. Women's motherhood is then explored from a linguistic perspective, based on the verbal references of women to their sons. These references are examined at all stages of the children’s lives, from pregnancy, birth and upbringing to the death of the children. In addition, the feelings that the authors express in relation to their biological or stepchildren are presented. These women are also subjected to critical analysis as to whether and to what extent they can be paralleled with Ovid's contemporary models of the "matrona" and the Roman mother and stepmother. (EN)
