A systematic investigation of student understanding of the behavior of simple operational-amplifier and diode circuits. The participants in this study were undergraduates enrolled in upper-division physics courses on analog electronics at three different institutions, as well as undergraduates in introductory and upper-division electrical engineering courses at one of the institutions. Our findings indicate that many students leave these courses without developing a functional understanding of the behavior of op-amp and diode circuits. In this text, we describe the most prevalent conceptual and reasoning difficulties identified (typically after lecture and hands-on laboratory experience) and discuss ways to address these difficulties during electronics instruction.
Μία συστηματική έρευνα της κατανόησης από τους φοιτητές της συμπεριφοράς απλών κυκλωμάτων τελεστικών ενισχυτών και διόδων. Στην έρευνα αυτήν συμμετείχαν προπτυχιακοί φοιτητές τμημάτων φυσικής από τρία διαφορετικά ιδρύματα, καθώς και προπτυχιακοί μηχανικοί ενός από τα ιδρύματα αυτά. Τα ευρήματά μας δείχνουν ότι πολλοί φοιτητές αποφοιτούν από τα τμήματα αυτά χωρίς να έχουν αναπτύξει μία λειτουργική κατανόηση της συμπεριφοράς κυκλμάτων τελεστικών ενισχυτών και διόδων. Στο κείμενο αυτό, περιγράφουμε τα κυριότερα εννοιολογικά και συλλογιστικά εμπόδια που εντοπίσαμε (τυπικά μετά τις σχετικές διαλέξεις και τα εργαστήρια) και συζητούμε τρόπους αντιμετώπισης αυτών κατά τη διδασκαλία της Ηλεκτρονικής.
