The author stresses the conservative character of the vocabulary of modern Greek dialects of Macedonia. He treats some dialect words from the district of Drama, which words he believes to be of ancient origin. The words he deals with are the following: διασείζουμι, κοίτ’, κουμέλλα, λοΰρους, σκουρδάριμ’ καί σκουρδάλιμ’, στουμίδα, συνάβου καί τρουπάρ’. (EN)
