In the introduction, matters referring to the edition, content, and character of a versified work dating from 1679 as well as the influence exerted on the anonymous poet by passages in the Bible are examined ; (concurrently, parallels with texts of post-Byzantine Greek literature are suggested), and the literary significance of the work is indicated. The edited text with a critical commentary and mention of the sources (testimonia) is presented, and a Glossary of foreign and dialectal words or grammatical peculiarities follows. (EN)
