The chapter examines the form the practices of reading, discussing and commenting on scientific and philosophical texts take within the compilatory writings 'Table Talk' by Plutarch (1st-2nd c. CE) and 'Noctes Atticae' by Aulus Gellius (2nd c. CE) with a view to interpreting their function as models of imparting and transmitting knowledge. (EL)
Το κεφάλαιο εξετάζει τη μορφή που λαμβάνουν οι πρακτικές ανάγνωσης, συζήτησης και σχολιασμού επιστημονικών και φιλοσοφικών κειμένων μέσα στα συμπιληματικά έργα 'Συμποσιακά Προβλήματα' του Πλουτάρχου (1ος-2ος αι. μ.Χ.) και 'Noctes Atticae' του Αύλου Γέλλιου (2ος αι. μ.Χ.) και ερμηνεύει τη λειτουργία τους ως προτύπων μετάδοσης γνώσης.
