The present work is concerned with the numerical and the experimental investigation of the surface pressure distribution around a body of revolution at incidence. Numerical results have been obtained by both potential and viscous flow calculations. The latter were carried out using the partially parabolic method with the k-epsilon turbulence model. To evaluate the numerical methods, experiments were performed in the NTUA towing tank on a body of revolution having a length to diameter ratio of 10 at Re = 1.87 x 10(6). The measured values of the pressure coefficients are compared with numerical predictions for various circumferential angles and angles of incidence. (EN)
