This article presents an adult education approach named « semio didactic approach » subject of a collaborative research project initiated by DVV International, the German of international cooperation of German adult education association. This approach was tested as part of a non-formal training programme in the sustainable use of aromatic and medicinal plants for adults not attending school. The system, whose theoretical core is based on Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic framework, enabled learners to construct a system of signs modelling the activity to be carried out. (EN)
