Diplopia may be a sign of giant cell arteritis (GCA). Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) is a systemic rheumatic inflammatory disease characterized by shoulder and hip girdle pain, and PMR can be associated in some patients with GCA. The authors report diplopia in two patients with treated PMR and biopsy-proven GCA, and review the literature on diplopia in GCA. (EN)
