Στη παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία μελετάμε τον σχεδιασμό δυο διαφορετικών μετατροπέων αναλογικού σήματος σε ψηφιακό (Analog to Digital converters, ADC). O ένας ADC υλοποιεί αρχιτεκτονική καταχωρητή διαδοχικών προσεγγίσεων (Successive Approximation Register, SAR) με 7 μπιτ ανάλυση. Ο δεύτερος υλοποιεί αρχιτεκτονική ΣΔ 1ου βαθμού με 9 μπιτ ανάλυση. Παρουσιάζουμε την χρησιμότητα και τον τρόπο λειτουργίας κάθε μέρους και των συνολικών κυκλωμάτων των δύο μετατροπέων. Η ανάλυση υποστηρίζεται από τηv προσομοίωση των κυκλωμάτων με τη χρήση του προσομοιωτή LTspice. Τα κυκλώματα υλοποιήθηκαν με χρήση διακριτών εξαρτημάτων. Σχεδιάσαμε πλακέτα τυπωμένου κυκλώματος (PCB), πολλαπλών στρώσεων με χρήση του λογισμικού ανοικτού κώδικα KiCad. Συναρμολογήσαμε την πλακέτα που κατασκευάστηκε και προχωρήσαμε στον πειραματικό χαρακτηρισμό των κυκλωμάτων. Τα αποτελέσματα των μετρήσεων της επίδοσης των κυκλωμάτων παρουσιάζονται στην εργασία. In this thesis we study the design of two different Analog to Digital converter (ADC) architectures. The one is a 7-bit successive approximation register (SAR) and the other is a 9-bit 1st order sigma delta converter. We analyze the functionality and operation of each block and of the overall circuit for both architectures. Our analysis is supported with circuits simulations using the free LTspice simulator. The circuits were implemented using discrete components. We designed a multilayer printed circuit board using the open source KiCAD software. We assembled the manufactured board and measured the performance of the circuits. The results are presented. (EN)
