Η ταξινόμηση πλουτώνιων πυριγενών πετρωμάτων στην ύπαιθρο από ένα δείγμα χειρός γίνεται βάση της περιεκτικότητας σε ορυκτά του δείγματος. Ανάλογα με αυτά ορυκτά προ­ κύπτει το όνομα βάση του διαγράμματος ταξινόμησης QAPF. Παρατηρήσαμε πως αυτές οι ταξινομήσεις φέρουν πληροφορία αβεβαιότητας και ασά­ φειας. Ασάφεια λόγω της ταξινόμησης με βάση τα ασαφή ποσοστά ορυκτών στο πέτρωμα. Αβεβαιότητα από τις διάφορες απόψεις των ειδικών που μελετάνε το πέτρωμα και μπορεί να καταλήξουν σε διαφορετικά συμπεράσματα για το όνομα. Σε αυτή την εργασία φτιάξαμε ένα σύστημα που ταξινομεί πλουτώνια πυριγενή πετρώ­ ματα χρησιμοποιώντας ασαφή λογική για την ταξινόμηση και θεωρία Dempster–Shafer για τον συνδυασμό τυχόν αντικρουόμενων απόψεων των ειδικών. The classification of an igneous plutonic rock in the the field by a hand specimen is based on the mineral content of the specimen. Depending on these minerals, the name is derived from QAPF classification diagram. We have observed that these classifications carry information of uncertainty and vagueness. Vagueness is due to the classification based on the vague measurement of percentages of minerals in the rock. Uncertainty derives from the various points of view of the experts who study the rock and may come to different conclusions about the name. In this work, we created a system that classifies igneous plutonic rocks using Fuzzy Logic for classification and Dempster–Shafer theory to combine any conflicting views of experts. (EN)
